Much love to those that came through yesterday to show some support. Through a mini-heatwave and technical difficulties. We definitely had a lot of fun running through the catalog and above all, just hanging out on that familiar Union City street corner. Shout out to ATC and Great Muta as well for holding it down for us. Here's just some captures from yesterdays festivities:

Sky-Witwickey. Hopefully you'll hear it sooner or later but here's the Skywalkers performing "X Marks The Spot." One of my favorite BMB songs that was never released.

Chopping it up with Aaron and Nero after the set. By the way fellas, don't forget to hit me with your e-mail addresses so I can send "From Cali With Love" over.

They asked me "When's the next time you're going on live?" I paused and said "Xbox?" before realizing they meant another set. Oops. That just where my mind was at. But truthfully we don't know when the next one will be. We've just been playing it day by day and whatever happens happens. Trust you'll all be the first to know.

When I first heard the news it didn't sink in, but now I realize the influence of his music on my life and my own creation of music. This may not seem BMB related, but it has definitely shaped us as musicians and people. Here's one of my personal MJ favorites:

Eto-eaters. A whole army of them. First Eto, and then the world. This reminds me of that movie "Langoliers."

This hand-painted clock sits atop a huge canvas of painted butcher paper that spans an entire wall.

A few nights ago Bryant "Etomer" Sina of ATC opened up his house to display what he had been working on in the past three months. Tables full of sculptures and paintings everywhere. This is just a small collection of the flicks that I was able to take. Be sure to follow ATC's website while you're at it.

Saturday after checking out the opening of "Aristocrats," a new boutique opened up in San Jose, we were hungry. With endless options and no direction, we decided on The Counter in Santana Row.

And despite the endless string of cars and limited parking on an exceptionally crackin' day, it was well-worth it.

Nice days. Just the way I like em.

I'm sure this spot isn't new to most so I'll keep the details short. It's a burger joint. You get a clipboard and a form at the table, and you check off the ingredients you want to work with. They build the whole thing for you, from the ground up, just as you order it.

Now I don't know much about ingredients, matches or whatever. I'm no culinary artist. I was just starving. So I picked whatever sounded good and hoped for the best.

I did the Turkey Burger. Jalapeno jack cheddar. Topped it with some sun-dried tomatoes and scallions. I got a side of horse raddish mayo for dipping. And this is what came out.

Get off me. This thing was delicious by the way.

All in all. I'm trying to go back today, tomorrow and the next day to get the same thing.

I have a handful of songs that no one has ever heard so I'll be putting at least a few more up for sure. "From Cali With Love" starring yours truly and production by FreshChuck.

I recorded this song maybe 4 months ago? Chuck sent me over about 5 or 6 instrumentals one night and they sat on my computer for a bit. By the way, Chuck sends me more instrumentals than I could ever write to. One in particular, this one which was called "On Our Way Up," caught my attention right away. After letting it sit on my computer a few days, I eventually caught some inspiration and threw this beat on repeat. I went into the bathroom and started brainstorming some stuff. Most of my genius moments in life happen in the car or in the bathroom, is that kind of weird?

We call it blacking out when you just let the spirit move you, and when you write without thinking or over-analyzing. "From Cali With Love" isn't the most complex or audibly beautiful thing ever but It's not often enough that I write therapy music, so I wanted to share it with the blogosphere. Enjoy.

Last night was the Grammy Celebration Concert Tour featuring N.E.R.D. and Natasha Bedingfield. Luckily for us die hard N.E.R.D. fans, they performed first. It was a wild show and we were about 30 deep in the front row moshing, pushing, singing our hearts out and throwing up our Star Trak's in the air. KNX was so crazy Skateboard P pulled him up on stage to spazz for 2 and a half songs. He represented us well.

Sadly, they told us no cameras were allowed even though we could've got one in anyway. Here are some pictures from my iPhone. The quality is pretty horrendous compared to the stuff Dashes has been posting, but it'll do for now. I spoke with the photographer and she told me some flicks will be up on her site soon. I'll update yall with those.

N.E.R.D. always puts on a great show. The best 1 hour and 3 minutes of my life.
