Saturday after checking out the opening of "Aristocrats," a new boutique opened up in San Jose, we were hungry. With endless options and no direction, we decided on The Counter in Santana Row.
And despite the endless string of cars and limited parking on an exceptionally crackin' day, it was well-worth it.

I'm sure this spot isn't new to most so I'll keep the details short. It's a burger joint. You get a clipboard and a form at the table, and you check off the ingredients you want to work with. They build the whole thing for you, from the ground up, just as you order it.
Now I don't know much about ingredients, matches or whatever. I'm no culinary artist. I was just starving. So I picked whatever sounded good and hoped for the best.
I did the Turkey Burger. Jalapeno jack cheddar. Topped it with some sun-dried tomatoes and scallions. I got a side of horse raddish mayo for dipping. And this is what came out.
Get off me. This thing was delicious by the way.
All in all. I'm trying to go back today, tomorrow and the next day to get the same thing.
